The airport is located 6km (4 miles) to the southwest of Marrakech.
Airport News
Terminal 1 was recently refurbished and expanded to increase capacity to 2.5 million passengers. A new 46,500 sq m (500,521 sq ft) terminal with capacity for 4 million passengers is scheduled for completion by 2008.
Driving Directions
The airport is located only 6km (4 miles) southwest of the city centre. Drive down Avenue de la Menara and follow the signs to the airport.
Car Parking
There is one car park at the airport. Located near the terminal building, it has 363 parking spaces.
Car Hire
The following car hire companies are available at the airport: Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz.
Public Transport
Road: Bus: Bus 11 runs every 20-30 minutes to the Jemaa el-Fna (buses are infrequent on weekends). The stop is located 800m (0.5 miles) from the airport.
Taxi: There is a taxi rank outside the terminal, with plenty of drivers touting for business (journey time – 15-20 minutes). Agree on a price before setting off (a sign outside the terminal will show how much you should pay, roughly). The trip takes about 15 minutes.

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Both terminals have currency exchange offices, and there is an ATM in the arrival hall in Terminal 2. Post services, telephones and fax machines are available, and also Wireless Internet access is provided.
Eating and drinking: The airport has a restaurant and café as well as several snack bars and bars.
Shopping: There are several shops at the airport, including a florist, a gift shop selling local crafts items and duty-free shops selling tobacco, spirits, cosmetics, perfume and much more.
Luggage: For queries about lost luggage or property, contact the airline office or the airport information desk.
Other facilities: There is a prayer room at the airport. There is also medical assistance available.
Conference and Business Facilities
There are no conference or business facilities at the airport, but Internet access is available.

The airport is located 30km (19 miles) south of Casablanca.
Airport News
Casablanca airport is currently undergoing expansion and will be inaugurated soon. Its capacity will be increased and many new shops will open, including Zara and Massimo Dutti.
Driving Directions
From the centre of Casablanca, take the motorway towards Settat. From northeast Casablanca, take the highway towards Marrakesh. The airport is signposted.
Car Parking
There is a long-/short-term car park with 1,600 spaces outside Departures and a long-/short-term car park with 880 spaces outside Arrivals.
Car Hire
Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty are all represented at the airport, as well as several local operators.
Public Transport
Rail: A shuttle train service operates from the airport Arrivals hall to Casablanca port and the city centre (journey time – 45 minutes).
Road: Bus: There is a shuttle bus to Casablanca’s CTM station. Journey time is about 1 hour.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside Arrivals.

There is one information desk in Arrivals and one in Departures (tel: (022) 539 040). Tourist information is also available at the airport.

Other facilities: An ambulance and first aid facilities are also available. There is a pharmacy on the first floor. A prayer room is also available.

Fax, photocopy and Internet facilities are available in the small business centre in the main hall. There are no conference facilities at the airport. Several hotels in central Casablanca provide conference and business facilities (see Hotels below).
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
There are two lifts in Departures and two in Arrivals. Wheelchair transportation can also be provided between the aeroplane and Arrivals/Departures; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
