<strong>Car Parking</strong><br />
There is long- and short-term parking at the airport. Car park P1 is situated in front of Terminal 1 with about 1,000 spaces, while car park P2 outside Terminal 2 has space for about 1,300 cars.<br />

<p>Car Hire</strong><br />
Toyota, Nissan and Nippon have offices in the Arrivals area of both terminals. In addition, Matsuda is represented in Terminal 1 and Japaren in Terminal 2.<br />
<strong>Public Transport</strong><br />
<strong>Rail:</strong> Passengers should check which terminal they require before setting off for the airport as the terminals have separate railway stations: The Narita Airport Station (Terminal 1) and the Airport Terminal 2 Station. Keisei Electric Railway (tel: (0476) 328 501 or 348 763) provides services to Keisei Ueno in central Tokyo, as well as a direct service to Haneda Airport. Japan Railways (tel: (0476) 331 630 or 346 008) operates the reservation-only Narita Express as well as non-reservation rapid trains which serve Tokyo and regional destinations.<br />
<strong>Road: Bus: </strong>Shuttle buses operate to Haneda Airport, Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station and major hotels in Tokyo, as well as direct services to other cities such as Sendai, Utsunomiya and Omiya.<br />
<strong>Taxi:</strong> Taxis and limousines are available at the airport.<br />
<strong>Information and Help Desks</strong><br />
There are several information desks in both terminals. A tourist information counter (tel: (0476) 303 383) is available in Terminal 1.<br />
<strong>Airport Facilities</strong><br />
Money and communications: Both terminals have banks, ATMs, bureaux de change and a post office. Coin-operated Internet terminals, Wireless Internet access, mobile phone hire, telephone, fax and photocopying services are available in both terminals.<br />
<strong>Eating and drinking:</strong> A good variety of Japanese and Western restaurants are available, as well as cafés, fast-food outlets and bars.<br />
<strong>Shopping:</strong> A number of shops, including duty-free in both terminals, are available.<br />
<strong>Luggage:</strong> Luggage storage services as well as luggage lockers are available in both terminals. For inquiries about lost luggage, contact the airline or one of the airport&#8217;s information desks.<br />
<strong>Other facilities:</strong> These include medical clinics, a dentist, baby change facilities, nurseries, children’s play areas, showers and sleeping rooms.<br />
<strong>Conference and Business Facilities</strong><br />
Terminal 1 has a business centre which provides fax, photocopying, Internet access and meeting rooms (tel: (0476) 300 035). Many of these services are also available at various points throughout both terminals, including Wireless Internet access.<br />
<strong>Facilities for Disabled Travellers</strong><br />
These include tactile flooring, wheelchair-accessible toilets and telephones. Wheelchairs can be hired from the information counters (landside only); passengers should inform their airline of any special assistance required, prior to travel. Car parks at both terminals provide disabled parking spaces with discounted rates for people with disability ID. The airport railway stations and inter-terminal shuttles are wheelchair-accessible.<br />

There are no hotels at the airport; hotels close by include the ANA Hotel Narita (tel: (0476) 331 311; website: www.anahotel-narita.com), Hilton Narita (tel: (0476) 331 121; website: www.hilton.com), Holiday Inn Tobu Narita (tel: (0476) 321 234; website: www.holidayinntobunarita.com), Hotel Nikko Narita (tel: (0476) 320 032; website: www.nikko-narita.com) and Radisson Hotel Narita Airport (tel: (0476) 931 234; website: www.radisson.com). There are hotel reservation desks at the airport (tel: (0476) 328 798), located in Terminal 1 at the airport.</p>

<strong>Airport News</strong><br />
The airport opened in 2005 and is Japan&#8217;s fifth international airport. It is also the country&#8217;s third maritime airport, built on a man-made island in Ise Bay south of Nagoya. The airport was given the nickname ‘Centrair&#8217; after a public naming competition<br />
<strong>Driving Directions</strong><br />
It takes 30-40 minutes to drive from central Nagoya to Centrair. Head south on the Nagoya Expressway, then onto the Chita Peninsula Road and finally the Centrair Line out to the airport.<br />
<strong>Car Parking</strong><br />
The capacity of the parking lot is 4,500 vehicles. It is connected to the passenger terminal building by a levelled connection passage.<br />
<strong>Car Hire</strong><br />
A car rental information desk is located next to the main airport information desk on the ground level. Staff can help with finding a car and with explaining the rental terms and so on. Travellers wishing to hire a car at the airport are advised to contact this information desk. Hertz (tel: (056) 938 0100; website: www.hertz.com) is among the companies represented at the airport.<br />
<strong>Public Transport</strong><br />
Rail: Train is the fastest means of transport between the airport and central Nagoya. The Nagoya Railroad takes you from Nagoya Station to Centrair in only 28 minutes. The Airport Station is connected to the terminal building by a levelled connection passage. Road: Bus: JR Tokai Bus Company (tel: (052) 354 3811) operates frequent services between the airport and Nagoya station. Meitetsu Bus (tel: (052) 582 5151) services are also frequent and call at Sakae and several hotels in the city.<br />
<strong>Taxi:</strong> Taxi ranks are located directly outside the airport terminal. A taxi information counter can be found next to the central information counter on the ground floor.<br />
<strong>Information and Help Desks</strong><br />
There are five information counters at the airport, located on the first, second and third floors of the terminal building. Staff can help with information and with registration for use of rental wheel chairs, baby carriages, dressing rooms and so on.<br />
<strong>Airport Facilities</strong><br />
Money and communications: Several ATMs are available in the airport&#8217;s Access Plaza. There are bank offices and currency exchange services on the terminal&#8217;s second and third floors. A post office is located on the first floor, while letterboxes can be found at the Access Plaza and on the third floor. Internet access is available through wireless hotspots or coin-operated computer terminals.<br />
<strong>Eating and drinking:</strong> There are many places offering meals, snacks and drinks at the airport. Several Japanese, European, Chinese and other Asian restaurants are available, and there are plenty of cafes and snack bars.<br />
Shopping: Most shops are located on the third and fourth floors of the terminal building. There are several food shops with Japanese and local specialities. Clothes, fashion items, electronic gadgets, books, travel accessories and various tax free items are also on offer.<br />
<strong>Luggage:</strong> Coin-operated luggage lockers are located at nine different locations at the airport. Temporary storage facilities for carry-on luggage and luggage home delivery services are available on the second and third floors of the terminal building.<br />
<strong>Other facilities:</strong> A medical office is located on the terminal&#8217;s second floor. Doctors are available at all times to provide first aid and medical care. Nurseries with baby changing facilities are located next to most of the toilets at the airport. A playing area for children is located in the gate lounge after security inspection for both international and domestic flights. The airport also has massage and beauty treatment facilities as well as a relaxation facility with a Japanese bath.<br />
<strong>Conference and Business Facilities</strong><br />
A business centre offering fax, photocopying and bookbinding services as well as two conference rooms, translation services and computer rental is available by the central stairs in the departure lobby on the third floor. Internet access, whether wireless or through stationary computer terminals, is available in several locations at the airport. Upon passing through the international flight security check-point, there are desks equipped with AC100V power outlets and wire LAN connections that are free to use.<br />
<strong>Facilities for Disabled Travellers</strong><br />
All lifts and toilets can accommodate wheelchair users. Parking spaces reserved for disabled travellers are located on all floors of the airport&#8217;s parking house. Wheelchairs can be hired at the information counters.<br />
<strong>Hotels</strong><br />
Centrair Hotel (tel: (056) 938 1111) is located at the airport, just 100m (328ft) from the terminal and check-in counters. Comfort Hotel Central International Airport (tel: (056) 938 7211) is also located at the airport, linked to the terminal building by a corridor.</p>

The airport is located 50km (31 miles) southwest of Osaka.<br />
<strong>Driving Directions</strong><br />
Road access to the artificial island on which the airport is built is via a dedicated access bridge (with a toll gate on entry), connecting to an expressway, which serves all directions, off the Hanshin Expressway (Wangan Route) and the Hanwa Expressway, further inland.<br />
<strong>Car Parking</strong><br />
The two multi-storey car parks directly access the passenger terminal; there are also two open-air car parks. Parking spaces reserved for disabled travellers are located in the multi-storey car parks for ease of access.<br />
<strong>Car Hire</strong><br />
Car hire desks can be found on the first floor in the north area; companies include Japaren, Mazda, Nippon, Nissan, Orix and Toyota.<br />
<strong>Public Transport</strong><br />
<strong>Rail:</strong> The Kansai Airport Station is served by Japanese Railways (tel: 0570 002 486) rains; the limited express Haruka line runs to Kyoto (journey time &#8211; 1 hour 15 minutes) and other destinations, while the Kansai rapid service runs to Kyobashi (journey time &#8211; 1 hour 15 minutes) and other destinations. Nankai Railways (tel: (0724) 566 203) has services to Namba, Sakai and Izumisano.<br />
<strong>Road: Bus:</strong> Buses are available to all major hotels and surrounding destinations. Buses arrive at the International Departures area and depart from the Arrivals areas. Tickets can be purchased outside the terminals.<br />
<strong>Taxi:</strong> Taxis are readily available outside the passenger terminal.<br />
Water: There is a sea ferry route to Kobe and Kobe Airport (journey time &#8211; 30 minutes). A shuttle bus runs between the terminal building and the ferry terminal.<br />
<strong>Information and Help Desks</strong><br />
There is a total of six information counters at the airport. There are two on the first floor of the passenger terminal building; one in the centre of the second floor; and three on the fourth floor. The main information centre (tel: (0724) 552 500) is located on the northern side of the second floor. The Kansai Tourist Information Centre is located on the first floor (tel: (0724) 566 025).<br />
<strong>Airport Facilities</strong><br />
Money and communications: A bank, ATMs, bureaux de change and a post office are available. Wireless Internet is available for free, and there are 25 @Stations for Internet access, available daily 24 hours. Mobile phone hire is also available.<br />
<strong>Eating and drinking:</strong> The airport has many restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Shopping: There are newsagents, as well as a wide variety of shops, including duty-free.<br />
<strong>Luggage:</strong> A porter service is available (tel: (0724) 553 450). Left-luggage and luggage delivery are also available. Call airport information (tel: (0724) 552 500) for general inquiries regarding lost items.<br />
<strong>Other facilities:</strong> There is a medical clinic at the airport; a dentist is located on the third floor of the Aeroplaza, a few minutes from the terminal building. The airport has 35 AEDs. There is a children’s room, nurseries, showers and changing rooms. Mobile phone charging machines are also available.<br />
<strong>Conference and Business Facilities</strong><br />
There is a conference room and business centre on the fourth floor providing telephone, fax and Internet facilities, as well as PC rental, secretarial and catering services. <strong>Facilities for Disabled Travellers</strong><br />
The airport has disabled toilets and lifts between floors. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. The airport is wheelchair friendly. For visually impaired travellers there are Braille blocks guiding travellers between the train platforms and bus stops and the central information counter on each floor.<br />

There is a hotel reservation counter in Arrivals on the first floor of the terminal.</p>
