The airport is located in Bole, 8km (5 miles) southeast of Addis Ababa.
Driving Directions
The airport is located 8km (5 miles) southeast of the capital. To reach the city centre, take Bole Road and head north towards Africa Avenue.

Public Transport
Road: There are no bus services from the airport to the city centre, so visitors need to arrange a private transfer or catch one of the cream-coloured National Tour Operator taxis. Ethiopian Airlines (tel: (011) 465 2222; website: www.flyethiopian.com) operate a shuttle service to the airport from the centre of Addis Ababa for departing passengers.
